According to Penske Media Corporation’s news outlet Variety, Alexander Skarsgard, Peter Dinklage and Elizabeth Debicki will all be joining Olivia Colman in the upcoming film Wicker. The film is an adaptation of Ursula Wills’ story The Wicker Husband.

Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein Premiere

Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein is officially set to premiere in theaters today. “Oscar-winning director Guilllermo del Toro adapts Mary Shelley’s classic tale of Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist who brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation.”

Guillermo del Toro said, “The most important figure from English legacy is, incredibly, for me, a teenager by the name of Mary Shelley, and she has remained a figure as important in my life as if she were family. And so many times when I want to give up, when I think about giving up, when people tell me that dreaming of the movies and the stories I dream are impossible, I think of her.”

Frankenstein is in theaters now, and it will premiere on Netflix on November 7.

Synthetic Update

According to Penske Media Corporation’s news outlet Deadline, Charlie Cox and Haley Bennet will be starring in a new sci-fi romance called Synthetic. the indie film is reporetedly set in the near future, where a retired soldier’s isolated existence is shattered when a runaway female android seeks refuge on his farm. Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing penned the script from an original story by director Oliver Ridge.
