God of War Casting

Multiple outlets have confirmed that Ed Skrein, known for his role in Game of Thrones and Jurassic Park Rebirth, will be joining as Baldur.

“Baldur may be the youngest son of Odin, but he’s his father’s most dangerous weapon. Charismatic, unpredictable and armed with a razor-sharp tongue, Baldur lives by his own rules. As a boy, Baldur was cursed; this curse denied him the ability to feel pleasure and physical sensation. This fuels an insatiable anger and bloodlust in Baldur, who favors a brawling fighting style that blends his immense power with the raw impact of his fists. Above all else, he longs for an opponent that can truly match his prowess in battle. An opponent that can finally make him feel something.”

Louis Cunningham will play Modi, Sif and Thor’s middle child. Island Austin will play Thrud, Sif and Thor’s youngest child. Ben Chapple will play Magni, Sif and Thor’s eldest son. Evelyn Miller will play Gna, Odin’s Valkyrie commander.

Horrorstör Adaptation

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Jonathan Levine is set to make a film adaptation of the comedic horror novel Horrorstör, by author Grady Hendrix.

Reportedly, “the book takes place in an Ikea-like furniture superstore named Orsk in Cleveland that becomes subjected to supernatural occurrences. To uncover the mystery, a group of employees sign up for a night shift, only to get way more than they bargained for, in a most sinister way.”

Jonathan Levine will also be writing the script.

The Witches of Cambridge Series

Deadline confirmed that Disney‘s Hulu is developing a series adaptation of Alice Hoffman’s novel The Witches of Cambridge.

The series will follow two brilliant young women in 1950s Cambridge, Massachusetts, as they become immersed in a mysterious secret group of witches at Radcliffe known as the Lilith Society.

Exorcist Casting

Deadline confirms that Sasha Calle (Supergirl) has joined the cast. The Hollywood Reporter confirms that John Leguizamo has joined. Rahul Kohli (Critical Role‘s The Mighty Nein, Scarecrow in DC‘s Harley Quinn), Hamish Linklater (The Boys: Gen V), Gil Bellows, Carl Lumbly, Robert Longstreet, Matt Biedel, Samantha Sloyan, Kate Siegel, John Gallagher Jr., Benjamin Pajak, and Carla Gugino.

Blumhouse-Atomic Monster and Comcast NBCUniversal’s Exorcist film premieres on March 12, 2027.
