Sleepaway Camp Reboot
According to Penske Media Corporation’s news outlet Deadline, the production company run by Kenan Thompson and Johnny Ryan Jr., AFA, has officially acquired the remake rights to the 80’s slasher horror film Sleepaway Camp. The original film was written and directed by Robert Hiltzik. This film will be written and directed by Hiltzik and his wife once more.
Lux Adaptation
According to Penske Media Corporation’s news outlet Deadline, Amazon MGM Studios is developing a series adaptation of Jennifer L. Armentrout’s paranormal fantasy series Lux. Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders will showrun and executive produce.
The Boy in the Iron Box Adaptation
According to Penske Media Corporation’s news outlet The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix is collaborating with Guillermo del Toro to develop an adaptation of The Boy in the Iron Box written by Chuck Hogan and Guillermo del Toro himself. Rupert Friend, Kevin Durand, and Jaeden Martell have been cast in the project. David Prior will write the script and direct.
Jawbone Adaptation
According to Penske Media Corporation’s news outlet Deadline, Diego Luna’s production company La Corriente del Golfo is developing a series adaptation of Monica Ojeda’s novel Jawbone. Jaquen Castellanos will serve as writer and executive producer. Michelle Garza Cervera will be director and executive producer.
