Borderlands Film Casts Florian Munteanu

According to The Hollywood ReporterActor Florian Munteanu, who plays Viktor Drago in Creed II, is in negotiatins to join the Borderlands film adaptation. He’d be playing Krieg, the the musclebound, rhetorically challenged protector of Tiny Tina, the unstable 13-year-old explosive expert being played by Ariana Greenblatt. There is no further news about the Borderlands film at this time.

HBO Max’s Slam! Series Adaptation

WarnerMedia’s Rooster Teeth Studios is developing an animated series based on BOOM! Studios’ Slam! comic books. Slam! is described by WarnerMedia as “an adult animated half-hour series set in the fast-paced, hard-hitting, super cheeky, all-female world of banked track roller derby, following two young women who will have to decide if their budding friendship is stronger than the pull of a team when a win is on the line.” The show will be brought to life using a “groundbreaking combination” of rotoscoped and 3D animation.

First Look at Stephen Amell’s Heels

Starz shared the first photos from its wrestling drama series Heels, featuring Stephen Amell, best known for playing The Green Arrow in The CW’s Arrowverse. The images show Amell and his costar Alexander Ludwig as lead characters Jack and Ace Spade. Heels has no premiere date at this time.

Powerpuff Girls Casts Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Quake

According to Variety, Chloe Bennet, who plays Quake in Marvel‘s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., will be joining THE CW’s Powerpuff Girls adaptation. She will be playing Blossom, alongside Dove Cameron’s Bubbles and Yana Perrault’s Buttercup. There is no further news about the Powerpuff Girls series at this time.
