A Man on the Inside to Finish with Season 3

Mike Schur’s comedy series A Man on the Inside is confirmed to conclude with the upcoming third season. Star Ted Danson is set to be joined by series newcomers Bernadette Peters, Nick Offerman, and Rachel Dratch, as well as returning cast like Stephanie Beatriz and Mary Elizabeth Ellis. A Man on the Inside follows a recent retiree who becomes an amateur sleuth. Seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream now on Netflix, and season 3 has just begun production.

Ray Gunn Official Trailer

Netflix has just released an official trailer for Ray Gunn, a new neo-noir sci-fi mystery film from director Brad Bird. The animated film follows Raymond Gunn, the last human private eye in a retro-futuristic city full of aliens. Sam Rockwell stars as Gunn, with Scarlett Johansson as Venus Nova. Ray Gunn opens in theaters on December 4 and streams on Netflix on December 18.

Andrew Phung Joins Curse of Undead

Actor Andrew Phung, best known for his role in Kim’s Convenience, is set to star in and produce the upcoming horror-comedy Curse of Undead. Directed by Quentin Lee, the film follows a struggling filmmaker trying to make a documentary in the midst of a zombie outbreak. The screenplay was co-written by Lee and horror-comedy author Grady Hendrix. Curse of Undead has no release date at this time.

Focus Features Attached to Eggers’ Romeo and Juliet

From The Hollywood Reporter, Focus Features has won the bidding war for prolific director Robert Eggers’ next film, an adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet.” The film’s dialogue is said to be in Elizabethan English (also known as early modern English), with lines taken directly from the source material. Eggers will direct and produce his “Romeo and Juliet” adaptation, with no other news on additional producers at this time.
