The Batman Part II Production Paused

As reported by Deadline, production on The Batman Part II has been temporarily paused while director Matt Reeves steps away for personal reasons. Warner Bros and DC Studios issued a statement on the matter, adding that Reeves “has the full support of DC Studios” in this decision. The film is anticipated to open in theaters on February 18, 2028, with no word on whether this delay will impact the release date.


Animated RuneScape Series in Development

Lyrical Animation is currently developing an animated series based on the hit fantasy MMORPG RuneScape. The announcement comes as part of game developer Jagex’s plan to expand the world of RuneScape, which has been around for 25 years now, into spaces beyond video gaming. The series is also being made in partnership with creator Charlie White, also known as “MoistCr1TiKaL,” who has previously contributed to gaming projects such as Dispatch.


Imperfect Women Renewed for Season 2

Apple TV has renewed its psychological thriller show Imperfect Women for a second season that will focus on Kerry Washington’s character Eleanor. The show’s first season is based on a novel by Araminta Hall, about two women who try to solve the murder of their third friend, although the new season will deviate as there is no source material to work from. Washington and actress Elisabeth Moss will be executive producing season two of Imperfect Women.


IDW’s Horror Comics Lineup

Ahead of New York Comic Con, publisher IDW has unveiled a lineup of new horror comics releasing throughout 2027 as a part of the “IDW Goes Dark” lineup. As reported by Fangoria, fans will get to experience new horror stories from franchises like Star Trek, Sonic the Hedgehog, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Godzilla, and even Hello Kitty. There will also be new originals from the IDW Dark line, along with previously announced releases for series like Smile and A Quiet Place.
