The Earliest Show Series Adaptation

Deadline confirmed that Ben Schwartz (Sonic the Hedgehog) and Lauren Lapkus (Jurassic World) are set to reprise their roles in a full series adaptation of their online video series The Earliest Show. 

“The Earliest Show is a comedic look behind the scenes at the U.S.’ earliest live morning show, which starts at 3 a.m. sharp, focusing on the on- and off-camera antics of hosts Josh and Sam in their tiny Upstate New York town.”

Twisted Metal Gets Renewed

Multiple outlets have confirmed that Comcast NBCUniversal’s Peacock has renewed Twisted Metal for a third season. The series itself is based on Sony’s video game of the same name. The first two seasons of Twisted Metal are available on Peacock now.


Aunt Roxie Project

Deadline confirmed that Netflix is set to make a new project titled Aunt Roxie.

“In Aunt Roxie, a carefree writer agrees to watch her uptight sister’s gifted children for a week, navigating teenage romance, elementary school politics, and her own messy love life while learning what it means to be a loving aunt and responsible adult.”

The project comes from Johnny Rosenthal, who is best known for writing Bad Santa 2. Ryan Reynolds’ production company Maximum Effort and Amy Williams will produce.


The Chair Company Gets Renewed

Yesterday was the season finale of Tim Robinson’s comedy series The Chair Company. But even before the season came to a close, multiple outlets confirmed that WB Discovery’s HBO had renewed the series for a second season. Reportedly, the series has a perfect 100 score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. The series stars Tim Robinson as a man “who, after an embarrassing incident at work, finds himself investigating a far-reaching conspiracy.” Currently, all 8 episodes of The Chair Company are on HBO Max.
