Sideshow CHiPs in! – Holiday Toy Drive 2014

Sideshow Collectibles donates to CHiPs for Kids Toy Drive 2014

Every year Sideshow looks for ways to give back to our community during the holiday season, and this year we are proud to participate in the California Highway Patrol (CHiPs) For Kids Toy Drive 2014, sponsored by Walgreens and local radio stations. To kick off the event, live feeds will be shown at the Walgreens in our hometown of Thousand Oaks today, December 4th, capturing the excitement and holiday spirit throughout the day to inspire as many as possible to donate. The CHP and Walgreens have set out to collect 3,000 toys from 4 to 8pm for children in low income homes, and Sideshow will be donating some of our favorite figures to the cause, giving a superhero-sized surprise to a few lucky kids.

“I can only imagine how a parent may feel when they cannot provide for their family let alone buy a toy or gift during the holidays. As a father my goal is to satisfy every child for just one year and when that happens… goal accomplished!” says Walgreens manager, Jerry Pira.

The CHP will be accepting donations at over 300 locations throughout southern California from now until December 18th, collecting new, unwrapped toys which will be delivered to less fortunate children throughout local communities during the holiday season.

If you’re looking for more ways to give back to the people you’re close to, be sure to submit a wish to Sideshow Gives Back, and check out our Holiday Gift Guide. Happy holidays!
