I started collecting Sideshow figures in 2004, when I was turned on to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. My first ever Sideshow figure was the 12″ Vampire Willow, and my collection quickly started growing from there.

I expanded beyond the world of Buffy with the release of the AH! Mary Jane comiquette, as Mary Jane Watson is my favorite comic book character ever. That was my gateway into comiquettes and Premium Format statues. Eventually my collection came full circle back to the 1/6th scale, as I got into the Marvel Hot Toys figures.

My collection has two main themes: anything “Buffy” related and comic book characters, focusing mostly on the Women of Marvel. I’ll get just about anything related to Mary Jane Watson or Emma Frost, and in recent years I’ve gone pretty heavy on the Hot Toys figures from the MCU.

I have over 200 pieces of comic art, a mix of original published pages, full-sized commissions and sketch covers on display in the room I call “The Museum”. Even though I recently moved to a larger house, I don’t have nearly the room to display all my artwork, so I put it all on my ComicArtFans gallery.

His favorites
Sticking with the original art theme, I have pages 21 and 22 from issue #2 of “Spider-Man: Blue” framed along with a complete set of Issues 1-6 signed by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale. That’s the centerpiece of my living room. As for the top items in “The Museum,” I’m particularly partial to the Emma Frost Hellfire Club Premium Format statue, and the full set of J. Scott Campbell Spider-Man Polystone Statues. And I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention my screen-worn party dress from the TV show “Dollhouse”, which I got signed by Eliza Dushku at New York Comic Con in 2011.

His wishlist
Of the items I’ve pre-ordered, I’m most looking forward to the J. Scott Campbell Black Cat Polystone Statue. I’d also love to be able to track down a Galactus Maquette some day. And there’s always the dream of getting a life-size Iron Man statue…
