Stay InsideShow Pop Culture Picks – Day 16
Due to social distancing, many of us have found ourselves with more time inside than usual. Many of our schedules have changed, giving us the opportunity to try new things. As fans of pop culture ourselves, Sideshow’s Staff is happy to share a few suggestions to help you fill your newfound time with high quality content.
To help encourage everyone to Stay InsideShow, every day this week we will be recommending one film/series, one comic/book, one board game, and one video game that you can enjoy while you practice safe social distancing. These picks are the best of the best, curated and personally suggested by our very geeky staff.

Chopped (Hulu)
It’s never a bad idea for High Octane cooking shows! The STEAKS have never been higher
Book

The Dreamers by Karen Thompson Walker
This Sci-Fi novel exploring what happens when we tap into the full power of our minds. People are falling asleep and not waking up. They are dreaming, however. And their brain activity is off the charts. This is a thought-provoking and interesting read!
Board Game

Shadows in the Forest – The Board Game
You play it in the pitch-dark and there is a little lantern that lights the board for the seeker. The other players are these cute little creatures called Shadowlings that have to hide from the seeker. Super simple and very fun.
Video Game

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Take all your favorite Nintendo characters, and throw them in the arena. No matter how you play, or who you’re playing with, it’s a good time. But the REAL recommendation is this: Everyone plays Ganondorf. You go to Hyrule: Temple. You go down right in THE SPOT and fight to the death. Best party game ever.
Check out some of our recommendations, and as always don’t forget to Stay InsideShow!
