“Monster Wall” – Universal Monsters

Universal City, California

“Monster Wall” is maybe one of Tristan Eaton’s most famous murals. Located on the outskirts of the Universal Studios theme park, it is as much of an attraction as the rides inside the tourist destination. It features five fictional characters sure to make anyone scream with both fright and delight! That’s right — feast your eyes on massive, vibrant portraits of the Universal Monsters: Dracula, The Bride of Frankenstein, Frankenstein’s Monster, The Creature, and the Wolf Man!

“Audrey of Mulberry” – Audrey Hepburn

New York, New York

The film and fashion icon Audrey Hepburn gets a couture makeover in “Audrey of Mulberry.” Blending Audrey’s beautiful visage with New York iconography, the mural stands as a testament to both the actress and the city. After all, this depiction specifically captures Audrey’s role as the NYC socialite Holly Golightly. We can’t think of a better place to paint her likeness.

“The Great Escape” – Batman

Aalborg, Denmark

When we see Batman, we feel safe and happy. We escape into a world where heroes always win and the bad guys are simply silly. In other words, we confront and overcome our fears. So who wouldn’t be happy seeing a big Batman smiling at them from the wall? “The Great Escape” utilizes many recognizable characters over its large span, but Adam West’s cowl has got to be our favorite section.

Cities and night life bring out the best crowds — like vampires, perhaps? Nosferatu gets the blues and explores a sea of pop art in Tristan Eaton’s “BeStreet Weekend” mural. Experimenting with shapes, street art, and styles, Tristan Eaton blends this old horror icon seamlessly into a painting featuring soft florals and feminine figures. We’re extremely impressed.

“Peace & Happiness” – Donald Duck

Detroit, Michigan

Here, Donald Duck pilots a warship through a mural entitled “Peace and Happiness.” Of course, this piece is all about juxtaposition and irony. Notice the bright colors contrasted with the monochromatic Disney character. His caustic expression is additionally at odds with the sunny yellow and sky blue. Clearly, this choice was intentional.
