Destin Daniel Cretton to Direct Avengers: The Kang Dynasty

During San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige shared a major update about the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He confirmed that the next Avengers film, set to cap off Phase 6 of the MCU, will be titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. That film will be followed up with a long anticipated adaptation of a massive comic book event called Avengers: Secret Wars.

And according to The Hollywood Reporter, the first film already has a director. Reportedly, Destin Daniel Cretton, known for directing Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, will be directing Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. The next Avengers film will premiere in theaters on May 2, 2025. Avengers: Secret Wars will collide into theaters on November 7, 2025.

Rick and Morty Season 6 Premiere

Adult Swim announced the release date for the sixth season of Rick and Morty. They shared the announcement with a photo of the titular characters sporting six packs, with the caption, “Ripped and ready.” Rick and Morty‘s sixth season will premiere on Adult Swim on September 4.

Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio

Netflix released the first official teaser trailer for Guillermo del Toro‘s stop-motion animation adaptation of Pinocchio. The teaser introduces the wooden boy with the borrowed soul, and features some of the cast, from Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan Kenobi™ in Star Wars™) to Ron Perlman (Hellboy), Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things), and others. Pinocchio will come to life on Netflix this December.
