Traditional Printing Techniques

Every print from Artéonn radiates technical expertise and a wholly creative skillset. Each design is completely original. The posters are printed on a platen press, which is a vintage 1950s manufacturing process which utilizes literal tons of pressure and thermal heating. This “hot stamping” can assist artists in achieving multiple mind-blowing effects, textures, or additions to the paper, including gold, colored, shiny, matte, holographic, 3D, textured, or in real gold 22 carats. Additionally, Artéonn uses 100% recyclable, recycled, and biodegradable luxury paper that has not undergone any chemical treatment. The rich hues achieved in their artwork are due to the paper tinting and magnesium press plates.

Those magnesium plates are vital to the printing process. In order to create a new piece, illustrators digitally draw using a stylus on a graphics tablet, and then the design is etched onto the plates for printing. The immense force and temperature applied during printing creates a distinctive debossing effect typical of letterpress. Notably, the paper doesn’t lose any softness or vibrance due to its durability. That’s what happens when every single step and detail is considered in crafting fine art for fans.
