Symbiote Suit Spider-Man

Back in 1984, Peter Parker’s firendly neighborhood got a whole lot stranger. That’s when he encountered the symbiote that would eventually give rise to Venom. Both Spider-Man and the Marvel universe would never be the same with this inky alien monster oozing around. But, most importantly, the symbiote altered Spidey’s signature red and blue suit into an iconic all-black Spidey suit. It marked a huge change in character for the hero and is still a pivotal pop culture moment.

Punk Storm

In Marvel mythos, Storm is an extremely powerful figure. She is regal without even trying and her mutant abilities surpass Omega levels. At her full strength, summoning rain and thunder are as easy as breathing for Ororo Munroe. However, she’s also known for her eye-catching costumes that enhance her natural beauty. In 1983, Storm needed to rebel. She had just lost her powers and a new look was just the thing to lift her spirits again. He’s the best at what he does and what he does is … usually wear a yellow and blue suit with distinctive black ear pieces. However, he also has a more subdued brown and gold suit from the 1980s — colors that more closely connect to his wild, feral nature. Long before Kamala Khan’s devoted fandom, Carol Danvers used the moniker Ms. Marvel. She was unmistakable in her black leotard, long black sash, and striking yellow bolt to match her blonde hair. Then, a super-villain’s experimentation caused Angel of the X-Men to become someone else entirely: Archangel, the Winged Horseman of Apocalypse. In one of his many plots for global domination, Apocalypse took advantage of Angel during a rough time and promised him a future of strength and importance. Instead, Angel underwent a transformation that would haunt him for years. But the blue skin and metal wings definitely look cool!

If you were to hire Jessica Jones for her investigative services today, you’d be meeting a sardonic brown-haired woman in a leather jacket. However, at the start of her super hero career, Jessica Jones appeared vastly different. She wore a white and teal outfit and used bright magenta hair to hide her identity. To match this vibrant ensemble, her codename was Jewel. After years of hardship and trauma, Jessica hung up the Jewel identity for good.

Daredevil’s Shadowland Black Suit

Red is a color swathed in symbolism. For Daredevil, red is almost always a prominent factor in his suits, aside from his initial black prototype suit. His original suit was yellow and red, and his most well-known appearance is crimson everywhere. But during the Shadowland arc, Daredevil’s suit took on a darker tone, with a return to black and only his chest insignia remaining in red. It signified a hero who was stuck in the unknown, weighed down by guilt even more so than usual.

Journey into the Savage Land and prepare to be transformed … even if you’re the mighty mutant Rogue! Throughout most of her life, Rogue was afraid of her own touch. The slightest skin contact would result in a debilitating exchange of life force between Rogue and her victim. As a result, most of her costumes covered her body as much as possible. However, down in the Savage Land, Rogue dared to embrace freedom and her revealing outfit exposed her rippling muscle and a new side to her evolving identity.

Miles Morales’ Aliens Vs. Avengers Suit

Time for a crossover! In the far, desolate future, Xenomorphs have annihilated most of the Marvel universe. Miles Morales is the sole remaining Spider-Hero and his suit, secretly empowered by a symbiote, absorbs a Facehugger attack. The result is something horrific yet a potential key tool in the world-ending fight of Aliens Vs. Avengers. Even the usual symbiote tendrils have terrifying Xenomorphic qualities, further evidence that this hybrid is dangerously deadly.
