Marvel Studios’ Ironheart Announcement on Disney+
Marvel Studios has announced a brand new Disney+ series called Ironheart. The series will follow Riri Williams, an inventor with a genius level intellect, capable of creating technology far beyond anything we’ve seen in the MCU before.
As in the comics, Riri’s greatest inspiration is Iron Man. Tony Stark’s suit of armor empowered and allowed superhuman acts for even an average human being — well — a genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist average human being. Not only did that armor let Tony Stark become Iron Man, it let James Rhodes become War Machine. His technology was revolutionary.
But Riri Williams, a young girl and certified genius herself, can do even better. Her armor creation is going to be the most advanced that the MCU has seen since the works of Iron Man. She’s got big shoes to fill, and a big legacy to honor. Her armor can only take her so far, but with it, she will become Ironheart.
