Sideshow “New York” Con 2022: Event Overview and Schedule

Extra, extra, geek all about it! Sideshow “New York” Con is just around the corner. From Monday, October 3 – Sunday, October 9, 2022, Sideshow is holding our own virtual New York-themed Convention to coincide with the NYCC festivities. Join us all week long for giveaways, livestreams, booth tours, Sideshow Rewards, new product reveals, and more.

Registration Benefits

Rewards

Sideshow “New York” Con 2022 registration is open NOW at side.show/nycon. The sooner you register, the sooner you get access to all the benefits!

What benefits, you ask? Well, for starters, registration is completely free and gives you an immediate $10 in Sideshow Rewards in your account to use toward future purchases.

Exclusive Contests

Event registrants will also have the opportunity to enter exclusive giveaways. These giveaway notices will be sent to your email inbox throughout the event week, so keep a lookout once you’ve signed up.

Giveaways

Social Media Giveaways

Flash Giveaways are quick 15-minute contests held on Sideshow’s official social media accounts. You will have only 15 minutes to follow the prompt given on the social post, and a winner will be selected from qualifying entries.

Giveaway Challenges are contests held on the Crowdpurr platform at sideshow.live. A social media post will go live directing you to Crowdpurr with a special hashtag and access code. Once the contest begins, you will have 30 minutes to complete the challenge described and submit your entry. A winner will be selected from qualifying entries, and all entries have the potential to be showcased in Sideshow’s wrap-up livestreams and blogs.

Game Shows

Cobbled Cosplay

Is cosplay your favorite part of a convention? If you’re into costumes, makeup, and watching people stress out over time constraints and fashion faux pas, Cobbled Cosplay is the one for you to watch.

During Cobbled Cosplay, contestants are picked at random from active audience members. Then a proxy Sideshow staff member is tasked with recreating a surprise costume in 10 minutes using only household objects and found materials. After those 10 minutes are up, we all vote for the best costume! The audience member who wins will take home the prize that their proxy host is cosplaying as.

Bingo

It’s a classic game of bingo — with a technological twist! Show up live and use your mobile device to play our updated geeky Bingo, which includes more clues, fun, and squares than ever before.

Trivial Cahoots XL

It wouldn’t be a Comic Con without a test of endurance and knowledge! Join us for a supersized, extra long session of Trivial Cahoots, a game where the audience gets to participate LIVE with prizes on the line. You’ll answer between 15-30 trivia questions using a mobile device as your buzzer. Winners get Sideshow Rewards for their account as well as bragging rights.

In-Person Party

Join Sideshow and TheOneRing.net for an official in-person gathering! Mingle with Sideshow Staff as well as other fans at the Joyce Public House in New York, New York. We’ll have drinks, finger food, and raffles with some seriously sweet prizes. If you’re interested, get your tickets now at side.show/nyccparty.
