Batman Azteca: Choque de Imperios


According to Variety, HBO Max Latin America has ordered a new DC Comics series called Batman Azteca: Choque de Imperios. The story will follow “a young Aztec boy named Yohualli Coatl, whose father, village leader Toltecatzin, is murdered by Spanish conquistadors. Coatl flees to Tenochtitlan to warn King Moctezuma and his high priest, Yoka, of looming danger. Using the temple of Tzinacan, the bat god, as a lair, Yohualli trains with his mentor and assistant, Acatzin, developing equipment and weaponry to confront the Spaniard invasion, protect Moctezuma’s temple, and avenge his father’s death.” Juan Meza-León, known for his work on Harley Quinn, will direct.

The Last of Us First Look

HBO released the first official photo from their upcoming series adaptation of the video game The Last of Us. The photo shows Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as Joel and Ellie respectively. Entertainment Weekly additionally confirms that the original voice actors for the characters, Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson, also have “major roles.”

Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio First Look


Vanity Fair shared the first look at Guillermo del Toro and Netflix’s new Pinocchio film, set in Italy the early 1900s, during the rise of fascism. Del Toro says, “The virtue Pinocchio has is to disobey. At a time when everyone else behaves as a puppet — he doesn’t.” There is no further news about Pinocchio at this time.

Paul Reiser Joins The Boys

The Boys announced a new cast member for the third season of The Boys. Paul Reiser has been cast as the comic book store owner and Stan Lee parody called The Legend. We’ll meet Reiser as The Legend in this week’s episode titled “The Last Time To Look On This World Of Lies.”
