Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

Ubisoft released the official world trailer for their upcoming game Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. “Dash into a stylish and thrilling action-adventure platformer set in a mythological Persian world where the boundaries of time and space are yours to manipulate. Play as Sargon and evolve from sword-wielding prodigy to extraordinary legend as you master acrobatic combat and unlock new Time Powers and unique super abilities.” Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will debut on January 18.

Jack Black Joins Minecraft Film

According to Deadline, Jack Black is officially set to join the Minecraft live-action adaptation. The film, from WB Discovery, Vertigo, Legendary, Mojang, and Microsoft is led by Jason Momoa. Jack Black will play the character Steve.

Jason Blum and James Wan have officially merged their two production companies. Blumhouse and Atomic Monster are now going to be working together. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Under the deal, Blumhouse and Atomic Monster will work as separate labels and retain creative independence, with a three-way ownership structure split by Blum, the majority owner; Wan; and Comcast, the parent company of NBCUniversal.”

Steven Yeun Backs Out of Thunderbolts

Variety’s Marc Malkin was briefly able to speak with actor Steven Yeun. Yeun is known for voicing the lead character in Amazon Prime’s Invincible series. Before the writer’s strike and the actor’s strike, outlets reported that Steven Yeun was cast as Marvel’s Sentry for the upcoming Thunderbolts film. However, Yeun has officially stepped away from the role. “

In his conversation with Marc Malkin, Yeun said, “I think for me, time passing and things shifting kind of pulled me out of it. But [director] Jake [Schreier], I know, is going to do an incredible job… It took a lot of drafts on email to make sure that I conveyed the sincerity of how sorry I was to have to back out.”
