The Mighty Nein Animated Series

Amazon Studios announced a multiyear exclusive overall TV and first-look film deal with Critical Role. The first series as a part of this deal will be an animated series adaptation of Critical Role‘s the Mighty Nein TTRPG campaign. The Mighty Nein story “follows a group of criminals and misfits who are the only ones that can prevent the kingdom from plunging into chaos when an arcane artifact capable of reshaping reality falls into the wrong hands.”


Shazam! Fury of the Gods Poster

IGN shared a new exclusive poster for DC Comics‘ Shazam! Fury of the Gods. The poster shows the full Shazam Family standing at the side of the titular character, as the villains are floating in a collage in the background. The poster features the quote “Oh. My. Gods.” Shazam! Fury of the Gods will fly into theaters on March 17.


Doom Patrol and Titans Canceled

HBO Max has canceled two of its DC Comics-inspired series. Doom Patrol and Titans have both been canceled. They are currently both set to end after their current fourth seasons. There is no further news about DC Comics shows at this time.


Stephen King’s The Boogeyman

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney’s 20th Century Studios is set to release a Stephen King short story adaptation in theaters. Originally, the movie, called The Boogeyman, was only set for a streaming release. The film follows “a 16-year-old and her younger sister, both still reeling from the death of their mother, who are targeted by a supernatural entity after their father, a psychologist, has an encounter with a desperate patient in their house.” The Boogeyman will hit theaters on June 2.
