The first series as a part of this deal will be an animated series adaptation of Critical Role‘s the Mighty Nein TTRPG campaign. The Mighty Nein story “follows a group of criminals and misfits who are the only ones that can prevent the kingdom from plunging into chaos when an arcane artifact capable of reshaping reality falls into the wrong hands.” Shazam! Originally, the movie, called The Boogeyman, was only set for a streaming release. The film follows “a 16-year-old and her younger sister, both still reeling from the death of their mother, who are targeted by a supernatural entity after their father, a psychologist, has an encounter with a desperate patient in their house.” The Boogeyman will hit theaters on June 2.
