William Jackson Harper Joins the MCU

According to Variety, William Jackson Harper has joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Harper is best known for starring as Chidi Anagonye in The Good Place. His role in the MCU is unconfirmed, but Variety reports that he will make his debut in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. There is no further news about Marvel’s casting at this time.


Aldis Hodge is Alex Cross

Amazon is moving forward with their series adaptation of James Patterson’s Alex Cross novels. They’ve cast Aldis Hodge (DC‘s Black Adam) as the titular character. In the novels, Cross is a “doting father and family man, [who] is single-minded to the point of obsession when he hunts killers. He is desperate for love, but his wife’s murder has left him too damaged to receive it.” There is no further news about the series, titled Cross, at this time.

Production is complete on Furiosa, the Mad Max: Fury Road prequel spinoff. The news was confirmed by the lead actress Anya Taylor-Joy, who shared her gratitude in an Instagram post. Furiosa will race into theaters on May 24, 2024.


Decades of LOTR Video Games

In conversation with Gamesradar, Embracer Group CEO Lars Wingefors shared an update about their upcoming adaptations of The Lord of the Rings. He said that the company has “decades” worth of future content, not just in game, but in many different mediums.  There is no further news about The Lord of the Rings games at this time.
