Partnership with BTS

February 2021

BTS, an acronym of Bangtan Sonyeondan or “Beyond the Scene,” is a globally renowned group of 21st century pop stars that has been capturing the hearts of millions of fans since their debut in June 2013. The members of BTS are RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook.

In early 2021, Sideshow announced a new and exciting collaboration with BTS, including statues and art prints. The first reveal was the BTS: Idol Fine Art Print by Ian MacDonald. Since then, the BTS collection has grown with Logo Replicas and art by Kildren and Tracie Ching.

Birthday Extravaganza

March 2021

Sideshow celebrated 27 years of pop culture community with the 2021 Birthday Extravaganza. Every day fans could look forward to giveaways, live content, game shows, Sideshow rewards, product discounts, and even new product reveals. We hope to see you in 2022 when we turn 28!

May the Fourth

May 2021

Sideshow’s Fan Week 2021 celebrated Star Wars in its entirety, from the light and dark sides of the Force to the galaxy’s greatest heroes and villains. There were livestreams, booth tours, and giveaways galore. Plus, we hosted an extra special in-person event for California locals.

On May 4th, host Guy Klender and producer Alan Hellard took the show on the road in Sideshow’s “Vandalorian.” They drove to Scum and Villainy Cantina in Hollywood where they gave away prizes, showed our audience around the venue, and celebrated the geekiest intergalactic holiday around in the ultimate Star Wars style.

Ser Sideshow Video Game

June 2021

During Sideshow’s Level Up! Week 2021, we celebrated all things gaming. This included video games, tabletop RPGs, board games — you play it, we covered it! But the best part of the event was the release of Level Up! With Ser Sideshow, our first ever side-scrolling platform game. You can meet our nonbinary knight Ser Sideshow and the rest of the characters, plus learn more about the game, on our roll call blog.

Spoiler alert! We’ll dash briefly ahead to October, when the game’s sequel was released. Run, jump, and double jump through Castle Spooktacular at side.show/play.

Sideshow Con

July 2021

Fandom Rewind 2021 was a most excellent event! Whether you grew up in the ’80s and ’90s or you just have good taste in pop culture, this event aimed to spotlight the movies, music, and TV of yesterday. No VCR required. And this weeklong dive into retro and nostalgia geekiness was such a hit it became an instant cult classic — so we’re excited to announce Fandom Rewind is coming back in 2022. Stay tuned for more details.

Sideshow’s booth also included a unique photo op with the Grogu™ Life-Size Figure, AKA The Child from The Mandalorian™.
