Sideshow Featured Collector: Jeff Hill By Chris Spearman Collector: Jeff Hill Location: Stittsville, Ontario, Canada How and when did you start collecting? My collecting started when I was 8 years old when my brother from another mother gave me my first album Ozzy Ozbourne’s Speak of the devil. From that day on its been rock and roll comic books and now Sideshow Collectibles. What do you collect? Does your collection have a theme, such as Star Wars collectibles, Batman, etc.? I love to collect movie and comic themed premium format pieces. Villains and Monsters have always attracted me. They seem to have a hidden beauty in their grotesquely painful features. What makes your collection unique? I like to thin my collection is unique only because most collectors and collections that I have seen seem to gravitate towards the good guys or the “heros” Good guys and gals look cool but I just cant get enough of the darker characters. What are your favorite or the most prized pieces in your collection? Every new piece is a prized piece that I cant keep my eyes off of. The Conan piece holds many memories from when I had the pocket comic book when the movie came out and the VHS tape my mom screened before she didn’t let me see it. I was only 10. Another prized piece would have to be my 1:1 scale predator bust. I’ve had it for years and it still blows me away. What items are on your wish-list? Not sure what I would have on my wish list. Thanos, Deadpool, MAN-BAT would be awesome.
