Star Trek: Prodigy Opening Sequence
Paramount+ released the opening sequence for their upcoming animated series Star Trek: Prodigy.
The intro follows a rogue starship through the galaxy, through fascinating cosmic technology and across stylized faces of the characters that we will come to know and love throughout the show. With the full force of its thrusters, the spaceship bursts across a rainbow of galaxies to a powerful intergalactic theme.
The theme song was created by Academy Award winner Michael Giacchino. Giacchino has created some of the most iconic musical moments in all pop culture and geek culture alike, from the themes for Disney Pixar‘s Up, The Incredibles, and Coco to Matt Reeves’ The Batman plus Jurassic World, Speed Racer, and more.
The official description reads as follows:
Star Trek: Prodigy will follow a motley crew of young aliens who must figure out how to work together while navigating a greater galaxy, in search for a better future. These six young outcasts know nothing about the ship they have commandeered – a first in the history of the Star Trek Franchise – but over the course of their adventures together, they will each be introduced to Starfleet and the ideals it represents.
The series stars Rylee Alazraqui as Rok-Tahk, Dee Bradley Baker as Murf, Brett Gray as Dal, Angus Imrie as Zero, Jason Mantzoukas as Jankom Pog, Kate Mulgrew as Kathryn Janeway, John Noble as Diviner, Ella Purnell as Gwyn, and Jimmi Simpson as Drednok.
Star Trek: Prodigy is set to premiere on Paramount+ this fall.
