Inspired by one of the jaw-breaking scenes that presents the suit launching to wrap around Tony Stark momentarily, the brand new Iron Man collectible figure successfully recreates Mark VII’s complicated yet distinctive alternative form – the large suit pod. This is also the first time that Hot Toys has adopted dynamic armor forms in its one-of-a-kind collectible figures, and it is surely a visual highlight that Iron Man fans have been longing for.
As one of the most popular armors in Tony Stark’s arsenal, the screen-accurate Mark VII Sixth Scale Collectible Figure is made with diecast materials and expertly crafted based on its appearance in the movie. The approximately 32.5cm tall figure features a newly painted head sculpt of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, an interchangeable LED light-up helmet, movie-accurate proportion and substantive detailed armor design with great articulations and the unique suit pod mode. This thing is amazing, paint apps are perfect and no detail was spared. You know when you buy HT you're getting THE best but they took it to a whole different level this time!
Let's be honest I was a bit hesitant about paying that much for a figure. But after I have completed my payment plan and received the figure I was astonished by the quality design and feel of it. If you can only buy one Iron Man figure I would recommend this one.
This figure is insane, one of my favorite marks ever. I had the plastic version and I sold it like all the plastic IMs I had. Once I got my hands on these diecast versions the plastic ones became replaceable and obsolete to me. This baby definitely pops and I have been waiting a long time for this to arrive at my doorstep, it's definitely worth the wait.
I just picked this up today from a 3rd party vendor in Canada. It is beyond awesome. No flaws to speak of, excellent craftsmanship, a real work of art. It has some good weight to it, lots of accessories and is also my favorite suit from the MCU. Worth the price, in my humble opinion.
