Batman Gets a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Bruce Wayne will be among those honored at an upcoming 2020 Walk of Fame ceremony in Hollywood, California. The ceremony will honor 35 different artists who have made an impact on television, music, film, radio, and pop culture in general. Batman will receive his very own star alongside actors like Mahershala Ali, Chris Hemsworth, and Julia Roberts sometime next year.


Jill Soloway to Write and Direct Red Sonja Film

According to Deadline, filmmaker Jill Soloway is set to write and direct the upcoming Red Sonja film. There are no plot details about the film at this time, but Soloway intends to draw from the rich comic book mythology of the She-Devil with a Sword. Red Sonja has no release date at this time.


Glenn Danzig’s Verotika Gets Release Date

According to Deadline, Cleopatra Entertainment has set a video-on-demand release for Glenn Danzig’s directorial debut Verotika. This horror anthology film has a number of stories based on Danzig’s comic book company Verotik, a mixture of violent and erotic. Verotika will be released on VOD on Halloween, with a DVD and Blu-ray release later in the year.


Sony Releases Black and Blue Crime Thriller Trailer

Sony has released the official trailer for its upcoming crime thriller Black and Blue. The film stars Naomie Harris as a cop who captures footage of a murder committed by corrupt officers and must escape those who want revenge on her. Black and Blue also stars Mike Colter, Frank Grillo, and more and the film opens in theaters on October 25th.
