Lady Death

• Original Name: Hope
• First Appearance: Chaos Rules #1
• Current Run: Enchantments

Lady Death is really considered the face of Coffin Comics. The antihero is highly recognizable due to her albino skin, eyes, and hair. This glowing white coloring came from her willingly walking the path toward evil. Once, Lady Death was a beautiful mortal teen desperate to save her mother. But Hope’s innocence was her downfall. Demons tricked her and Hope was condemned to Hell. There, Hope renounced her human heritage in order to become the infernal warrior and spellcaster known as Lady Death.

La Muerta

• Current Run: Nemesis

Maria, an army veteran, returned home from Afghanistan with no desire for further bloodshed in her life. She settled into a quiet, peaceful routine until disaster struck. Sadly, her family members were slaughtered by a death-worshipping cartel. Seeking vengeance, Maria created her own alter ego, the vigilante La Muerta. La Muerta utilized Maria’s wartime tactics and weapon handling skills to punish criminals.

Hellwitch

At first, Hellwitch was a lowly creature enslaved in Hell’s pit. She was destined to serve the higher borns in her Hive. However, her clan was the true race of Hell, the Hellbourne. Inspired by their heritage and her own ambition, Hellwitch rose through the ranks to challenge the Hive’s queen. She defeated that tyrant. But her victory came with a terrible price. Hellwitch must continue clawing her way to power and never rest, or everything she earned will crumble.

Lady Satanus

Lady Satanus is the offspring of the Devil and a human. In the 1970s, Lady Satanus was expelled from Hell. Powerless and ill-prepared, she wandered the New York City streets. Lady Satanus had to forge herself into a fearless fighter, as every demon in the area wanted her dead. While facing these miscreants, Lady Satanus also prepared to conquer two seemingly untouchable demon crime lords. If she succeeded, she could crown herself Queen of NYC and restore the power that was stripped from her.

Chaotica

Chaotica is Lady Death’s daughter. Like her mother, Chaotica was born with unpredictable magical abilities. Her own journey to tame them led her to Salem, Massachusetts. Although Chaotica intended to interface with witches, she was instead thrust into an alternate reality wherein witches and warlocks rule humankind. Chaotica found the new world full of hope and harmony. But utopias will always deceive those who consider them paradise.

Lady Gunfighter

• Current Run: Condemnation

Although Lady Gunfighter doesn’t entirely fit into the Hell and heavy metal landscape of Lady Death and company, she’s still worth a mention! Her story is set in 1876 America. She was once the star sharpshooter of a traveling Wild West entertainment show. But Eliza grew up and let go of the star-spangled, spur-studded life to start a family. When her husband and child were murdered, Eliza fell into despair. A decade later, she dons the moniker once more to track down the man who destroyed her happiness.
