She is the first person of color, the first woman, and the first Marvel Studios actor to be nominated for an Academy Award for their performance in a comic book adaptation. She’s been nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her role as Queen Ramonda in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Malaysian-born actress Michelle Yeoh has become the first Asian actress to be nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role for Everything Everywhere All at Once. In addition to Best Actress, the film received nominations for Best Supporting Actor (Ke Huy Quan), Best Supporting Actress (Jamie Lee Curtis and Stephanie Hsu), Best Original Screenplay, Best Director (The Daniels), and Best Picture.
