Multiple outlets reported that Milly Alcock has officially been cast for the role of Supergirl in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new DC Universe. James Gunn confirmed the news with a post on Instagram, sharing a screenshot of an article from Deadline. He said, “This is accurate. Milly is a fantastically talented young actor, and I’m incredibly excited about her being a part of the DCU. Yes, I first became aware of her in House of the Dragon but I was blown away by her varied auditions and screen tests for Supergirl. She embodies Kara as envisioned by Tom King, Bilquis Evely, and Ana Nogueira.”

Kate Micucci’s New Series Toy

According to Deadline, Kate Micucci is developing a brand new animated series called Toy. “Toy follows the adventures of a floppy-eared inventor of the same name, who also happens to be, you guessed it, a toy! He has two friends (at least two friends!), an ever-hungry crocodile and a skillful human girl, who help him defend the small town of Rockledge against the machinations of evil kitty-cat CEO, Lily Buttercup. Jealous of Toy’s inventing abilities, Lily will do anything to show him up — even build a ginormous mech-suit so she can personally destroy his hometown!” There is no further news about Toy at this time.

The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare Official Trailer

Lionsgate released the first official trailer for The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare. “Based upon recently declassified files of the British War Department and inspired by true events, THE MINISTRY OF UNGENTLEMANLY WARFARE is an action-comedy that tells the story of the first-ever special forces organization formed during WWII by UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and a small group of military officials including author Ian Fleming. The top-secret combat unit, composed of a motley crew of rogues and mavericks, goes on a daring mission against the Nazis using entirely unconventional and utterly “ungentlemanly” fighting techniques.” The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare will shoot into theaters on April 19.

DC Comics is releasing Batman / Superman: World’s Finest 2024 Annual. “As the battle against Magog rages on Earth-22, Batman and Superman discover a surprising secret by way of the 5th dimension!” Image Comics is releasing W0rldtr33 #7. “Gabriel Winter kept secrets his entire life. Now that he’s gone, the original members of W0RLDTR33 are left with his last will and testament…and a race against the clock to find Ellison Lane before anyone else can—including the U.S. government, which is inching closer to uncovering what happened back in 1999.”
