MARVEL

Fans of Marvel Comics, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the Marvel Gamerverse all had something to celebrate with brand new reveals and convention premieres of collectibles from Hot Toys, Sideshow, and PCS.

Unveiled for the first time ever at Micro Con, Hot Toys debuted the Miles Morales Bodega Cat Suit Sixth Scale Figure, the latest suit based on the unlockable costumes from the hit video game Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. This highly posable figure sported a carefully tailored costume and game-accurate look featuring the scene-stealing Spider-Cat companion in his backpack.

Two epic 1:3 scale statues from PCS also made their convention premiere, inspired by Marvel’s Avengers and the Marvel Contest of Champions Mobile Game. The Iron Man 1:3 Scale Statue measured an imposing 35.5″ tall with a red, gold, and silver costume inspired by Tony Stark’s appearance in the Avengers title. With dynamic app-controlled light features and a massive AIM (Advanced Idea Mechanics) tech inspired base, this collectible is a must-have for any fan’s Hall of Armor. Summoned from Contest of Champions, the 38″ tall Deadpool 1:3 Scale Statue was the Merc with a Mouth at his best- equipped with swap-out blasters and katanas, standing on top of a unicorn showcase base with Wade Wilson’s prized Uni on a rotating platform inside.

Sideshow also unveiled the first in-person appearance of their recent Scarlet Witch Premium Format™ Figure, a 29″ tall marvel of chaos magic inspired by Wanda Maximoff’s classic comic book appearance. Paired on display with the Doctor Strange Maquette, this mystical heroine made an impression as a part of the quarter-scale collection of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

STAR WARS™

From a galaxy far, far away, fans were treated to a whole host of Star Wars collectibles from The Mandalorian™ hit streaming series on Disney+. Hot Toys presented a whole host of sixth scale figures from both Seasons 1 and 2 of the show, both heroes and villains alike.

Buzz surrounding the show’s inclusion of the darksaber- an ancient lightsaber prized in Mandalorian culture- has been a hot topic in the fandom, and now collectors can bring home several characters integral to the legend of this incredible weapon. The Moff Gideon™ Sixth Scale Figure on display included the darksaber weapon along with his expertly tailored costume, sculpted Imperial armor elements, and a stunning likeness of actor Giancarlo Esposito, who plays the suave and intimidating villain in both seasons of the show. Flanking Moff Gideon was the Dark Trooper™ Sixth Scale Figure, a sleek and terrifying display of the power of the Imperial army. This highly-articulated figure is a must-have to fill the ranks of any fan’s villain collection.

The Bo-Katan Kryze™ Sixth Scale Figure also made an appearance at the show, on the search to reclaim the Mandalorian ancestral darksaber. Her costume featured highly detailed armor elements that were weathered and painted with her signature suit markings. The figure, which includes helmeted and unhelmeted portraits, had an incredible Katee Sackhoff likeness that captured the intensity of this beloved character making her live-action debut.

Fan-favorite bounty hunter Boba Fett™ also received the deluxe collectible set treatment, with both the armored and unarmored figures on display. In this exclusive set, collectors can relive the jaw-dropping reveal of Boba Fett before he reclaimed his rightful armor- the unarmored figure includes the accurate likeness of actor Temuera Morrison, and both versions of the bounty hunter include some of his signature weapons and carefully tailored fabric elements authentic to the show’s designs.

Wearing a game accurate version of his iconic costume, fans got their very first look at Nightwing’s tactical black and blue costume, upgraded to fit the aesthetic of the hit Batman Arkham game series- particularly from Batman: Arkham Knight. With his own custom character stand and several weapons, this fan-favorite DC hero will be coming soon for DC Comics collectors.

In addition to the convention return of the lovingly crafted Superman: The Movie Premium Format™ Figure, which captures the likeness and heroic presence of Christopher Reeve as Superman, Sideshow also debuted their recent Power Girl Premium Format™ Figure, a Kryptonian cousin of Clark Kent from the comics. Hailing from Earth-2, the polyresin Kara Zor-L was a fun and fierce statue, flexing her muscles above a cloud-themed base.

Sideshow also showcased the Harley Quinn and The Joker Diorama, a DC Comics collectible combining Gotham’s crime-loving clowns into one detailed display. Featuring classic costumes, a creative scene, and hidden Easter eggs, this diorama collectible is a must-have for fans of Harley and her puddin’.
