Booth Tour
If there’s one thing that both geeks and gamers love, it’s collectibles. Whether hunting for secrets hidden by the developers or zooming in on the details on their favorite statues and figures, collectors always get a thrill out of obtaining the rarest treasures from their favorite titles- the Level Up! Week Booth Tour featured Sideshow Host Paul Hernandez, joined by YouTube gaming sensation Macro, taking viewers on a walkthrough of just some of the video game collectibles offered on Sideshow.com– from the world of Marvel Games to the realms of Nintendo and beyond!
Characters in all scales and formats were featured, including the 40” tall Venompool 1:3 Scale Statue by PCS. Based on the smash hit character from Marvel Contest of Champions, this unholy union of Deadpool and Venom is sure to be a crown centerpiece in any collection. The Spider-Man Negative Suit Statue from Marvel’s Spider-Man also made an appearance, grappling with the monstrous demon-form Mister Negative in 1:3 scale.
Other items from PCS included just a fraction of their extensive Street Fighter collectibles roster, where the great demon Akuma made an appearance in mixed media, 1:4 scale format celebrating the 10th anniversary of PCS’s earliest Street Fighter releases. Both the Akuma 10 Year and Akuma 10 Year Ultimate statues stood proud alongside the Cammy 1:3 Scale Statue, faithfully detailed based on her Super Street Fighter 2 debut.
The day’s largest display of figures centered on the world of Marvel’s Spider-Man and the Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales spinoff game, with an entire armory’s worth of highly detailed 1:6 scale figures and prototypes inspired by the heroes’ incredible, interchangeable costumes. Peter Parker’s unique looks included the futuristic Spider-Man 2099 Black Suit, the guitar-slinging Spider-Punk Suit, the Anti-Ock Suit designed to combat Dr. Otto Octavius, and the ever-popular Classic Suit. Each Spider-Man figure included a dynamic figure stand base for supporting aerial poses, webbing and swap-out hands, and unique character-specific accessories for a full immersive display.
Hot Toys’ Miles Morales was featured in his standard black and red Spider-Man Suit, the technological 2020 Suit, and the ever-popular Bodega Cat Suit, which of course includes the Spider-Cat accessory. Each figure additionally included a dynamic figure stand, a specialized base and nameplate, and various web and bio-electric stinger accessories for recreating Miles’s unique moveset.
Hot Toys also gave fans a glimpse of the grim and gritty world of the Batman Arkham games with the Batman Beyond Sixth Scale Figure and the upcoming Nightwing Sixth Scale Figure, each outfitted with a more tactial, sleek version of their traditional comic book looks. Each figure game with a specialized character-themed base and accurately detailed, mixed media costumes to recreate their in-game appearances.
Sneaking into the display, the 1:4 scale Animus Altair Statue by PureArts dazzled with its LED light-up display, recreating the unique atmosphere of entering the Animus in the acclaimed Assassin’s Creed franchise. Other fantastical fan-favorite series were featured in a collection of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt statues by Dark Horse, including King Eredin and the infamous Geralt in the Bathtub moment in figure form.
Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and SEGA’s Sonic the Hedgehog also wowed as colorful collectible statues from First 4 Figures, the makers of high quality, vibrant video game figures. For fans looking to catch ‘em all, Paul and Macro also showed off the Poke Ball Premium Replica by The Wand Company, the world’s first officially licensed premium Pokemon prop replica with interactive light-up features. The silent protagonist of Valve’s Half-Life franchise, Gordon Freeman, also made an appearance in poseable 1:6 scale courtesy of MONDO, equipped with his iconic gravity gun.

During the festivities, we hosted an extra-special episode of Unsealed Lite, where Sixth Scale experts Guy Klender and Terry Smith were joined by Henrique Naspolini, a Lead Character Artist at Insomniac Games, who worked on Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales titles.
Take a closer look at the incredible Hot Toys figures from the games, and listen along for an engaging interview with Naspolini while he shares his experience helping to design threads for Spider-Man!
Game Shows
Game Shows are Sideshow Livestreams with a few extra perks. These include audience interaction, Sideshow rewards, and prizes, all for attending and participating in Trivial Cahoots, Cobbled Cosplay, Win, Lose, or DIE, and more. Read on to see which games we hosted during Level Up! Week 2021.
Cobbled Cosplay – Fan Edition
Cobbled Cosplay contestants are tasked with recreating a surprise costume in 10 minutes using only household objects and found materials. The winner takes home the prize they are cosplaying as. Since we’ve started our run of episodes where contestants play for themselves, not by a Sideshow employee proxy, we couldn’t be happier with the way you geeks turned out to test your costuming prowess.
If you think cosplay, makeup, and stressing out over time constraints and fashion faux-pas is for you, we are always in need of Cobbled Cosplay contestants for future events. Learn how to audition on our blog.
On Monday, Monika S. and David R. faced off. Monika S. slayed her look as the Heart of Stone Geralt (Deluxe) Figure by Dark Horse Comics.
On Wednesday, Kyle W. and Jadin P. played for the Marvel’s Spider-Man – Spirit Spider Suit Statue by PCS, with Jadin P. burning down the competition.
- Jadin P.
- Kyle W.
On Friday, Shanon K. and Logan A. went toe-to-toe for the Atomic Atlas Statue by Chronicle Collectibles. Logan A. emerged victorious.
Win, Lose, or DIE
Win, Lose, or Die is a cutthroat Choose Your Own Adventure style game that results in somebody either going home with all the glory (an amazing prize!) or DYING (losing their shot at the prize). Players have to correctly make it through all ten steps of the game to reach the final step, so, if they die, someone will take their place and they’ll be gone for good!
On Tuesday, Jasmine Edwards shared her story Spooky Scary Side Quest. Michelle M. made it out of that harrowing Halloween adventure with the Chun-Li: Morrigan Player 2 Statue by PCS.
On Thursday, Amy Chase brought players through her story The Quarter Eater. Danielle C. emerged unscathed from an animus arcade with the Majora’s Mask (Collector’s Edition) Statue by First 4 Figures.
Congratulations to the victims and victors alike! We hope you had a blast.
Trivial Cahoots
Trivial Cahoots is a little different than our other games because the audience gets to participate LIVE, answering between 15-20 trivia questions using a mobile device as their buzzer. Over the course of Level Up! Week, we held a different version of this trivia game every single day! That’s right: 5 days of trivia, themed around different decades of gaming, and 5 first-place winners. Second and third-place winners got Sideshow rewards for their account and bragging rights.

First place went to Christopher M., who won the Poké Ball Replica by The Wand Company.
