Your Official Spooktacular 2020 Giveaway Survival Guide

Here lies what’s left of my sleep schedule.

The only thing more terrifying than losing sleep is missing out on a giveaway opportunity during Spooktacular! Thankfully, this blog is here to give you a dead-leg up on those contests this Spooktacular 2020.

This year, Sideshow is giving away more than $15,000 worth of prizes to any number of random winners, meaning there are multiple ways to enter, and plenty of chances to win. What’s more – even if you have won another Sideshow prize in the past 30 days, you can still win during this event. Consider this as a “giveaway grace bubble”. (However, you can only win one prize during Spooktacular.)

As always, our giveaways are restricted to U.S. residents due to international giveaway laws.

Will you sleep? Probably not. But, as we say around these parts – sleep is for the weak! Or rather, the week after Spooktacular, right?

Here is an official breakdown of our giveaway itinerary:

Grand Prize Pack

This year, the Spooktacular grand prize is a bounty everyone will be hunting for- a whole collection of items from The Mandalorian™! Here’s a list of what you’ll find in the prize pack:

Social Media Giveaways

As per usual, we are hosting a handful of giveaways on our social media accounts. For Spooktacular, we generally like to keep you on your toes, so naturally, you won’t find any details here for when items are being given away or what you can expect.

That being said, we’ll let you in on a secret – make sure you’re absolutely keeping your eyes peeled for posts on all of our social media channels.

By that we mean Sideshow, Sideshow Art Prints, Atomic Misfit, Unruly Ind., Court of the Dead, New at Sideshow, and even The Comics Haul. You can expect giveaways to take place all across Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter for these brands.

Furthermore, each of these giveaways will go on for no longer than 8 hours. Act fast so you don’t miss your chance. We also suggest following the hashtag #SideshowGiveaway on Instagram, which funnels in all of the giveaway posts you’ll need in one place.

As the event continues on, we will be updating this blog with the names of the winners sometime after a giveaway is closed. Make sure to check back here to see if you’ve won.

Facebook Group Giveaways

Our Facebook groups are where you’ll find perhaps the largest collection of contests throughout our events — and all events, for that matter.

The full list of these groups goes as follows: Let Your Geek Sideshow, Let Your Statue Sideshow, Atomic Misfits, Designer Toy Collective, Rise, Conquer, RULE., Sideshow Insiders, and PCS Collectors’ Group.

Make sure you add the admins as friends (add-mins?) and turn your notifications on to optimize your chances of entering all the giveaways! The Let Your Geek Sideshow Facebook Group will have one giveaway per day at random times with very limited entry windows, whereas the other groups will have about three total giveaways going on randomly throughout the duration of the event.

YouTube Giveaways

For every day of the event, we’re giving away an item on our YouTube Channel. The catch? The times are completely random, and the entry window is only 3 hours.

These videos will be live initially, so make sure you’re subscribed with your notifications turned on so you don’t miss out on the giveaway opportunities.

Random Livestream Giveaways

Say it with us, folks: Sold. Out. Items.

That’s right – we have a handful of long-gone products that we’ll be giving away sporadically throughout the nights of Spooktacular. And by sporadically, we mean anywhere from the wee hours of dawn, the late hours of dusk, or literally anywhere in between!

So, get ready to put on a pot of coffee if you’re looking to bulk up your collection with some blast-from-the-past wins.

Sideshow C.S.I. Mystery Giveaway

Watch out — there’s a criminal on the loose!

Something strange has gone down in the Let Your Geek Sideshow Group, and we need our Collector Spooktacular Investigators on the job to solve the mystery.

Every day of the event, one of our moderators will post clues for you to pay attention to. On the final day, you’ll have the chance to point the finger and name the blame to win the game! Guess the guilty culprit correctly, and you’ll have a chance to win the Thanos: Endgame Sixth Scale by Hot Toys.

Scavenger Hunt

What would Spooktacular be without its annual Scavenger Hunt?

Every day of the event, our team is dropping a single word that will be needed to complete a 10-word phrase! You can expect to find these words anywhere – from the depths of a live chat to any nook or cranny on our website!

Those who complete the phrase — and verify where they found every word — will have a chance to win the long sold-out Batman: Dawn of Justice Premium Format Figure by Sideshow.

Make sure you keep tabs on where and when you found the word, as well as what it is. The Let Your Geek Sideshow Facebook Group will be dropping a hint every day at a random time, so stay tuned.

Email Giveaways

With Spooktacular’s new registration feature comes a host of new opportunities to cash in some benefits. One of those perks is, of course, giveaway opportunities.

If you’re registered for our event (which you can do FREE at Spooktacular.com), you’ll want to keep your eyes peeled for any emails announcing random, registrant-exclusive giveaways. Like our other giveaways, these contests will have extremely limited entry windows.

Be sure that your spam settings don’t filter out Sideshow emails, and keep checking that inbox! You don’t want to miss out on any of these exclusive opportunities.

Soul Collecting

What is your most wanted collectible, and what unholy things are you willing to do to get it?

In our Soul Collecting game, you offer up an outrageous “bid” or sacrifice in exchange for a prize, and our Reapers will seal the deal.

Some of the previous Soul Collecting winners have completed offers like:

  • Taking a swim in an ice-cold lake
  • Mowing a Sideshow “S” into the lawn while dressed as Darth Vader
  • Shopping for groceries while dressed in a Chewbacca onesie, speaking only in Chewie noises
  • Getting family members to recreate the David S. Pumpkins dance from Saturday Night Live

Game Shows

That’s right — Sideshow is stepping into the reality TV rink, and we need CONTESTANTS! We will be choosing contestants all through the week. Enter here for a chance to play!

Win, Lose, or Die

This is a high-stakes Choose Your Own Adventure game that results in somebody either going home with all the glory or a non-literal – but very dramatic – death!

Cobbled Cosplay

Think cosplay, but with only the items in your house. Now imagine that it’s a timed, all-or-nothing showdown! That’s the Cobbled Cosplay show.

Players of this game will participate vicariously through the hosts, who will act as representatives of your place in the game — if they win the challenge, you walk away with the prize!

While the prizes will remain unnamed for the integrity of the game, you can expect to see some of your favorite DC and Marvel characters up for grabs!

Trick-Or-Treat

Okay now, don’t stress — but you only have 50/50 chance of winning a prize if you are chosen for this game.

That being said, every player will have the opportunity to decide to either risk their 1 choice for a big prize or walk away with a guaranteed smaller prize.

The prizes for this game will host a large variety of characters, titles, or genres such as Batman, Harley Quinn, Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Horror genre, Deadpool, X-Men, Fine Art Prints, Designer Toys, Court of the Dead, and anime!
